Scrap radiators are priced according to the value and weight of the copper, brass, and aluminum they contain. Because iron brackets and steel side plates contaminate the melt, yards pay premium prices for clean radiators and lower rates for irony (dirty) units.

ACR coils from residential AC units and commercial chillers have copper tubing pressed through aluminum cooling fins. Clean ACR (with steel end plates cut off) is one of the highest-paying non-ferrous grades outside of solid copper. Copper & Brass Radiators
